Intent informs everything; it’s the difference between a joke and a phrase full of hate, the difference between killing and murder, the difference between self-serving and truly selfless.  The aspiration must not to stay within the reductive cage of rules and political correctness, but to easily jump from seeming opposites, with the light of clarified intent to guide your way.
