Echo, a Dystopian Science Fiction Novel: Progress and Thanks!

Word count today:  42619

Every day I get new readers and positive feedback for chapter 1.  I can’t express how grateful I am to you guys!  It inspires me to work harder to make sure my words are configured correctly to deliver entertainment, readability, and hopefully insight.  I am working diligently on the book right now, so as to not disappoint you guys who have shown me such encouragement and kind words, and also to push my craft as a writer further.  Writing has a lot to offer me in my personal development; in terms of sharpening my brain, my creativity, and even in spiritual matters.

I’m about to get to work for the nth time editing chapter 2 to make sure it delivers.  It will be posted Wednesday, July 1.  Once again, thanks!

Synopsis:  Echo is a dystopian science fiction novel.  Sometime in the 21st century, humanity left a beleaguered Earth to settle on Echo.  It was a golden second chance; Echo had all the nature and beauty of Earth, and was populated by nothing but rudimentary plant life.  Instead of becoming a utopia though, Echo collapsed into a dark age.  Government and corporations merged into the oppressive Regime.  Military and police merged into the Department of Enforcement.  For over a millennia, a war between the Regime and a huge network of rebels known as Dissidents has engulfed the planet.  Over half of Echo is covered in vast swaths of city, or cityscapes.

Hope lies in one man, Atriya, a former Enforcer.  But before he can break the cycle of ignorance on Echo, he has to break the cycle within himself.
