Dirty Sci-Fi Buddha is the website for me: author Kent Wayne. The site name comes from the subject material in my early pieces of writing.
Three works are featured. The first one is a series called Echo, a science fiction dystopia where a disillusioned warrior pushes his craft to its bloody limits, then attempts to break through into a realm of world-bending mastery. I’ve finished this four-volume series, and I’ve also posted some free sample chapters, click here to start reading.
To buy Echo Volume 1: Approaching Shatter on Amazon click here: Buy Echo
The second book is a high school adventure, full of profanity, psychedelics, and interdimensional shenanigans. Here’s the link for the book on Amazon: Kor’Thank: Barbarian Valley Girl. Sample chapters are available here: Sample Chapters for Kor’Thank: Barbarian Valley Girl
I’m working on a YA fantasy called the Unbound Realm, a three-volume series. I’ve finished books one and two, and I’m working on the third. Here’s a link to volume 1: A Door into Evermoor and here’s a link to volume 2: Weapons of Old Here are some sample chapters: Sample Chapters for the Unbound Realm.
Thanks for your interest! If you’re a writer, I wish you inspired drafting and insightful editing! Best way to reach me is by DMing me on Facebook. However, I have noticed some DMs getting filtered out by Facebook messenger, so if I don’t respond, just comment on my wall. I’ll take it down, DM you, and address your concerns. Sorry to all those who never got a response; I wasn’t trying to be rude! 🙂

Thanks, Kent, for liking my post! Much appreciated, in this world of so many random electrons floating around that it’s hard to gain the attention of one. Your storyline is intriguing. I’m going to come back and check out the sample chapters this weekend. Right now, it’s writin’ time!

The descriptions of the books…they’re amazing. But I think the Filthy 108 is something different and a must read…Hoping to find the book soon…And thanks, for liking my first post on WordPress…It helps amateur writers like me to write when we know that somebody out there is ready to read us!

Yeah no problem! And thank you for the kind words! I’ve toyed with the idea of unpublishing the filthy 108, but I figure I’ll leave it up there for posterity’s sake. 🙂

Hey Ann I’m flattered, but due to my time commitments, I’ve stopped following protocol for these awards. If there’s anything specific you want to know about me, though, drop a comment and I’ll throw you an answer! 🙂

Thanks for liking my overly emotion, thrown together poem Here I Am lol. I didnt think it’d catch anyone’s attention. Ive been barely getting back to writing and just decided to post it on my rarely used blog.
Echo seems intruging. I’m going to come back to read the sample chapters. And I do believe it is important to keep works we did a while ago, it shows us and our readers where we were at.
Thanks again! 🙂

Thank you back, Miss Mommy! And no worries on the over-emotionization; last year I went back and revamped Echo 1 and 2 because I couldn’t get over my over-description. Couldn’t get it all out, but we evolve as writers, so I imagine if I kept trying to get it perfect, I’d drive myself crazy. 🙂

🙂 Haha yes. I have a story I’ve been working on and off since I was 14 and last time I wrote on it I just revamped it and was driving myself a bit crazy trying too. The writer is usually their harshest critic.

Thanks Kent, for liking my post! I am just starting out with my first book being published back in February and I find the writing way easier than getting noticed! HAHA. Its nice to be noticed by another writer. Your artwork above is awesome and grabbed my attention right away. Your plot sounds great and love the sense of humor! Have to admit I don’t read a lot of SciFi, however, I am intrigued by your outline and will grab a copy to read. Thank you!

Thank you back, J.A! Yeah, advertising and logistics, is, unfortunately, way harder than the actual writing part of indie authordom. As far as my stuff being sci fi, I try to make my see past the “cool” sci fi stuff and illustrate human nature as best as possible. Without a strong representation of human nature, I don’t think any genre really rings true. And with something far out like sci fi or fantasy, it’s even more important, because the setting is already stretching the bounds of believability. Thanks for the kind words, and the interest! 🙂

I think your stuff has pretty good pacing, but the flow sticks at some points. In your sniper story, for example, you write: “I, then, mounted the rings,” which in my mind would flow smoother as: “Then I mounted the rings…” Hope that helps.
