On my creative process…

Typically, my inspiration doesn’t work in a linear fashion–I’m gifted with an exciting scene or possibility, then I write my way towards it. Along the way, my characters develop their voices and reveal the philosophies that form their worldview. As I draft and edit, draft and edit (and once I’m finished drafting, edit edit edit ad nauseum), I’m gifted with twists and turns I never planned, connections that spontaneously bloom in my story.

  1. Mine doesn’t work in a linear fashion either. There are many twists and turns as I write and revise. Sometimes my characters do something even I didn’t expect!
