Perhaps there is a well of omnipotent/omnipresent benevolence at the heart of reality.  Perhaps we function as its localized avatars, purposefully forgetting our true nature so it can enjoy contrast and challenge through unique configurations (us), which it can’t do in its omnipresence (because in its native state, it’s everything everywhere all at once, which means there’s no contrast because all is one) and omnipotence (in its native state, there would be no challenge or riddle it couldn’t instantly solve).

Perhaps we can access this deeper nature by releasing our internal mental obstructions, abiding in stillness, rather than continuously sprinting down imagined pathways.  In that case, we might never have to explain or profess the concept of faith, because we’d be living, breathing, and embodying it.  Perhaps that connection to our deeper aspect would open us to an abundance of possibility, where bad can become good and we are gifted with synchronicity and inspiration.

Or maybe it’s all just random chaos.  Maybe we’re here to strive and suffer, and impose our view upon others so that they don’t do it to us.  Personally, I hope that isn’t the case.

  1. Hello! I have noticed you liked several of my short stories. Thank you – I am so happy that someone read them and found them good.

  2. It’s interesting to think that the omnipotent universe uses us to provide contrast to an otherwise everythingness. That puts us at the center of the universe’s perception – a rather important place to be. It’s kind of anthropocentric, but, hey, why not? My dog sleeps through most of the day…

    1. Your dog has the right idea!

  3. I would like to believe the first one but I do not feel the same way every day…

  4. This was extremely beautifully said. Thank you. You covered a lot of territory. I am only adding that some factions predict a splitting of dimensions. Where higher consciousness seeking beings will evolve into/onto a 5th dimension of harmony. Others will remain in the dense material 3rd dimensional realm. I guess that would be random chaos existence until some future date when their beingness is able to ascend. Certainly the wisdom of meditation, prayer and practices of higher consciousness are the catalyst. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti…

    1. Well put! Yes, I believe everyone is doomed to happiness in the end.

  5. My friends Aquinas and Aristotle would like a word, my friend. Metaphysics is a wonderful thing, isn’t it?

    1. Absolutely!

  6. That is very well expressed. And it speaks to much of how I perceive things. I too hope that your last paragraph is not the case.
