Musings

From what I’ve seen, creative expression is an amplification of perspective and belief. It can boost and uplift, invent reasons to suppress or oppress, craft a prison from an overabundance of caution, or liberate the potential in our transient lives.

Whatever path is chosen, creativity won’t be denied. But I believe that when it’s channeled into a positive outlook and positive drive, that demonstrates an implicit trust in the abundance of our existence–we can find a solution with the tools we’re given, and gift ourselves with more along the way.

Yes! I have characters in my stories that have changed me for the better.

    1. I can’t help but think they’re real, somewhere out there in the infinity of existence. They definitely like to surprise me, at the very least!

Same here. They feel more real to me than the people around me.

      2. Me too. I feel like I’m channeling their essence, which to me is more real than just physical presence.

I feel like creativity is an expression of our life experiences. And your right. Creativity, when denied, causes conflict for the soul.

    1. To me, it’s a default mode of being. In my opinion, we can choose to create perpetuation.
      Nevertheless, we are still creating.

  5. Our creativity definitely won’t be and shouldn’t be denied. Finding the way to express our creativity is nourishing for the Soul.

    1. Absolutely! I believe it’s a default mode of being. We can choose to create perpetuation which is sometimes a good thing, but I think there’s always a need and desire for a healthy amount of novelty.

      2. I think this is the best summation I’ve read on creativity! I can definitely feel a shift in my overall mood and happiness when I allow time for creative endeavors versus periods of time where I’m just working the daily grind.

      3. I’m with you! I have way too many shower thoughts not to get them out in writing, lol!

  6. While I don’t write books, I feel accomplished when I complete a blog entry. When I started again this month after a six or seven year absence, I wrote that I wasn’t certain why I was doing it. I didn’t remember what it did for me but know its good for me, somehow.

  7. I suffer massively from an overabundance of caution. I’m channelling my creativity to change that–it’s slow going, but it is happening.

    1. That’s great! I think you’re doing the right thing–you don’t deserve to suffer, and you don’t need to change too fast and suffer from chaos. I’m rooting for you!

Social constructions overburdens with the prison perspective. Free runs are never allowed in a helplessly scared society sadly!

    1. Thanks! Yes indeed, I think existence is at its heart benevolent, and when we learn to relax, we can feel that joy without any seeming reason or cause.
