I will now add a cultural, which although might sound quirky and funny is actually serious
Always let The British know you are failing. As long as you do it with determination and don’t whine, then start again or leave with your head held high, we’ll admire you. We have this thing about heroic failure. It’s the mark of strong character.
Better to have failed heroically than won by sneaky means.
(You may now sing ‘Rule Britannia’ or ‘God Save The Queen’ your choice, the shower of course)
