IMHO, pleasure in order of fulfillment: The lowest tier is physical/materialistic, next up is mastering cravings through discipline/creativity, and most fulfilling of all?
The pleasure that comes when you stop seeking pleasure.

I guess that proves a point when you don’t need anything to satisfy your desires.

Mastering cravings through creativity? Like realizing soy milk isn’t that bad? No, I think I’m missing your point. How are discipline and creativity interchangeable in this context?

Discipline is a limited thing. One can only go so far on brute effort, and even if your endurance holds, then it’s very possible that there may be a better approach. Creativity will allow you to find that better approach. It will allow you to tax your discipline less, and in the end get more done. Kinda like generations of creativity made vehicles so we wouldn’t have to walk all over the place and rely on willpower to travel places by foot. So using creativity to dream up psychological tricks/physical mechanisms to address diet/exercise/procrastination will enable one to go farther than if one were to just power through it. Hope that helps! 🙂
