Just what works for me: Attack those parts of yourself that keep you from being what you want to be; it may not happen all at once, but build discipline and analysis into your everyday patterns so that clear thinking becomes reflexive and constantly increases in speed.
Ah, but you’re talking to a girl who does her maths by encouraging the numbers to dance in her head until the answer glitters, and got A’s in Maths. Clear thinking is overrated. You get more exercise in the haze. LOL 😉
At the risk of trivial nuance, I’d say that CLINGING to emotions gets in the way of clear thinking. Honest acknowledgement of what you are feeling and why that is so will clear the path for clearer thinking. Just my opinion. 😉

Sometimes emotions get in the way of clear thinking. Other times we need emotions to create the conditions for ever clearer thinking.
