All states of mind have their use; the key is training to move in and out of them at a moment’s notice, because life can derail itself in a flash.
The slicing awareness that can instantaneously transform from killer to caretaker—with the clear-souled intent of honoring [Higher Power]’s need—is one that can see the divine in diametrically opposing aspects. There goes a blessed servant indeed.
That reminds me of my “gem” of God analogy. I should dig it up and post it on my blog.
