Go so deep into your story that you realize it’s a parallel reality, one among many. That’s when it writes itself. But first, you have to be willing to go deep.

That’s how characters become real. They talk, I listen and write. But my novel is hostage right now. Can Echo alert a few people to pay the ransom to release it?
