I’ve heard so many yearn for a more widespread “warrior culture,” but usually they just mean they want to be more aggressive and outspoken. ย The real essence of what they speak of is the unromantic basics: ย Being on time, on target, with the right gear. ย Daily maintenance of body and equipment. ย Paying attention to detail. ย Planning your day in advance to wake up at the right hour. ย Using creative thinking effectively under stress. ย And mercilessly assessing your failings.
You don’t need to be wrapped in a flag, or wave a katana, or wear a gi, or take on ANY of the sundry titles to tap the “warrior culture.” ย All you need is those unromantic, oft overlooked basics.
