It does, it just takes more work to pursue what makes you better rather than what brings you pleasure. But if you fight through the work, the inconvenience, the pain…the end goal is far more valuable, far more loved and treasured than the pleasures easily gained. That doesn’t mean cease to pursue them, but things that make you better become those pleasures in step 1. Step 1 is vital to the process.
Couldn’t have said it better myself! Too bad our explorations often become reduced down to cliches: “Never quit,” and “It will all be ok.” They still hold true though, if you dig into em.
