Musings

My past self would tell my present self that I’ve led a disappointing life.  I suspect, however, that outward disappointment may be inwardly necessary.  I believe that sometimes, the process of being embraced by deeper truth entails betrayal by shallower falsehoods.

  1. That’s certainly one way of doing it. I try to let the past stay where it is because whatever we remember is colored by what we have learned along the way. When we made our mistakes we were only dealing with the information we had at that point, including our age and circumstance. Whenever we look backward it’s with all the knowledge we have gained since that point, so we can see mistakes we couldn’t possible see at that time. 🙂 That’s just my way of looking at things.
