To me, the key to art is a clear and cutting perception of a conceptual core, followed by iterating that perception as skillfully as possible.
Actually, I think that can be applied to everything.

I think you’re on to something here, and I agree that when it comes to art, you’re hoping to convey a concept/feeling/meaning more than you’re trying to create physical beauty (but that doesn’t hurt, either)

To me, everything is communication; a delivery of energy that evokes results or feelings. Even killing is a communication that you want somebody gone-the outcome depends on who communicates more effectively.

I agree in the beginning, but to be understood, it must to a certain degree be crafted for the audience without compromising its intensity.
