Musings

Once I began to perceive and accept the inherent absurdity and slipperiness of reality, I found it much easier to establish a solid foothold.

I think it’s the opposite for me, the more unreal life gets, the more unreal it feels. The simulation isn’t always simulating.

    1. Not to get too into semantics, but that’s how I subjectively define real in my head–awareness of the simulation being simulatory

  2. Odd, that acceptance gives a solid footstep to a slippery surface.

    1. Definitely ironic! I guess a specific example would be driving a car, where we naturally accept that we’re in charge of a giant moving danger, and that allows us to set up a system to minimize hazards and feel comfortable to the point where we’re not always struggling for equilibrium.

  3. You know those people who jump from high places and slow their fall by like making contact with one wall, then pushing off to another wall, then so on and so forth until they reach the ground? Yeah, thatโ€™s my life right now, jumping between reality and what I want to be reality. Itโ€™s all a never ending slippery slope. ๐Ÿฅด๐Ÿ˜ฃ

    1. I think I can relate. I’m sure you’ve heard all the regular stuff like stay strong and keep the faith and whatnot, I’m more in the direction of don’t forget to take some breaks, be easy with yourself, and remember every so often life is more like a game than we’re often led to think. Wishing you the best!

    1. Right? It’s weird how we just all act as if its this rock solid phenomenon.
