I’m starting to realize that you can pick apart the believability in pretty much anything. ย So in writing, it’s not so much about making everything believable, but making it so damn cool that people WANTย to believe.

So true. Especially in Sci-Fi genre…I want to believe in planet overlords building armies to crush the resistance in another galaxy. ๐

I love this statement! The power that comes from people wanting to believe in something is pretty freaking magical.

I think the greatest exercise in this idea, is a book called “The God Engines” by John Scalzi. It is a very short read, easily read in one sitting. Pacing, creativity, imagination and the logic that connects them are so well done, that it really proves you do not need to make it believable or spend time investing in anything other than your characters and the story that connects them.
