Musings

If I fail it’s because of one of two things: ย the system is rigged, or I was personally lacking in some aspect. ย Now I believe every system has SOME degree of corruption, but unless it consistently overwhelms me, it’s up to me to create a work-around. ย So as uncomfortable as it may be, my failures reflect a lack of personal aptitude. ย I prefer THATย viewpoint because it allows me to attack my weaknesses constructivelyโ€”something I’d be incapable of if I blindly spewed platitudes and/or mantras. ย

Failures don’t deserve denial or dismissal, they deserve investigation.

  2. As a young aspiring entrepreneur in Zimbabwe living in an almost non existent economy, I feel this. I can chose to aimlessly blame government or dust myself off and consistently seek to create practical solutions for myself and my community. It’s up to me to take back control. Awesome stuff!

  3. Alternatively, you can just redefine failure until your every endeavor is a “success.”

    1. I believe that’s entirely possible…but first the failure has to be approached with respect; not something to be dismissed, but rather something to be learned from and used on the way to more obvious successes. ๐Ÿ˜‰
