The negativity of society would have us be moths—flapping from lamp to lamp, dousing each light with our gray, mechanical wings.  But that’s not the natural design:  Look up in the sky—we are meant to be stars; gathering around each other, forming galaxies that burn all the brighter for our unity, while still glowing with our own inner light.  And eventually, if a certain theory of physics pans out and we become massive enough, we’ll collapse into ourselves and become portals into the infinite unknown.

  1. Love your words, “Look up in the sky – we are meant to be stars, gathering around each other, forming galaxies …” How very true.

My take – Create your own galactical community on earth and boot eject society into space…

    1. Haha! It’s coming! I don’t think it will be as sudden as you like, but I’m fine waiting. It’s almost always futile to advise adults, but children take it well, and from the growing awareness/tolerance/interconnectedness I see through different generations, even ones as recent as a century ago, I have hope. We just have to make sure that we don’t destroy ourselves before these good seeds come to fruition.

      2. Maybe…I like to try and keep all possibilities open in my head. But everyone of them leads to the same thing: enjoy what’s happening now and stop worrying about the later! 🙂
