I feel that it’s important to constantly try and pare myself down—to know myself at my deepest levels. Because if at my core I am an all-powerful, all-knowing being, then why fret over a bit of self-exploration and discipline? When you consider what those practices yield, the choice becomes easy.

The goal of all philosophy/religion/pursuits of knowledge seems to be a perceptual shift that accounts for all of reality. HOW that shift is executed is where traditions differ and where traditions fail–I’d say because they focus too much on the HOW, instead of the shift itself. Whatever works, right? 😉
