    Perhaps we have free will and perhaps we don’t.  What is evident is that because of [birth/expression of our genes/etc.], we don’t have COMPLETE free will.  Now I COULD use this premise to worry/fact check everything to max my “free will,” but I prefer to use it as an excuse to be as compassionate as possible……

    While all approaches may be valid in the grander sense, it’s obvious that a specific approach may not be valid for a given individual.  So for me, that leaves only one viable course of action.  Experiment, then figure it out for myself.

    Too much stress is detrimental.  So IMHO, when approaching an endeavor, it is not constructive to use judgments of “weak” or “badass,” and invite unnecessary stress. I’d rather use an exploratory mindset that constantly asks: “how do I get better?”   For me, that tends to keep the ego out of it and encourages me to adjust my approach…
