  1. Must me amazing to see it up there on Amazon after what I presume is quite a while of hard work! I look forward to that day. Hopefully not too long now. When I’m done with studying in a month or two, maybe I’ll dust off the ol’ Kindle and get downloading 😀

  2. Hi there Kent! Just letting you know that one of your followers will review Echo for the Jalapeño Fiction Award! The point of the award is to bring to light new and established authors, and whoever wins is in my opinion less relevant, but the cool part is that throughout the year participation in this award will continue drawing attention to your book. That’s really cool! Would you like to interview for my blog as well? If so, please send me an email at EllieMaloneyFiction@gmail.com

  3. Hi Kent—I’m an old woman who ponders and responds to your insightful musing and takes your near-daily updates of your writing. I haven’t bought your books because—no time to read now— I’m in the process of publishing mine and am finding that publishing takes almost more time than writing. How about your email or a response so I can at least send you the awesome cover of my coming book? Quid pro quo.

    • Publishing and marketing are a full time job, haha! Drafting is the easy part! Don’t worry about buying my books….if the time is right then the time is right! But feel free to send your awesome cover to kentwayneauthor@gmail.com! Thank you Paula and may you be blessed and lucky on your path as as writer! 🙂

  4. The cover is self-explanatory. The book has taken years and will be published in Seattle.
Your musings often stop me in my tracks. You are so hard on yourself!I hope you take some time out from being so driven. Relaxation and enjoying life are important too and often bring unexpected thoughts and creativity.

    • Thank You!!! I’m just the annoying art director that kept asking for revisions and braying about the importance of the composition and themes to the artist, however. Real credit goes to emilianohc on fivver.

  5. Good luck with this, Kent. Cool cover. I would interested in talking to you about your experiences with ebook publishing, as I am about to launch my own. After all that hard work – the hours scrunched over a laptop – there must be a way of getting some return.

    • Honestly the odds are pretty slim if you’re looking at statistics, so the first requirement of publishing IMHO is you gotta be working for fractions of pennies per hour. But hey, I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t shoot for the moon! Ask any questions you want! If they’re personal or private DM me on facebook or shoot em over to kentwayneauthor@gmail.com but facebook DMs are more reliable—I’m a bit flakey about checking my email.

    • Thank You So Much! Apologies if you push into Echo 2 and it’s not as refined as it could be…I’m currently working through the bugs right now, and probably should throw up a better version in two weeks time. Even as is, people tell me it’s a good read, so whatever you choose, I think you’ll be satisfied either way! 🙂

  6. Hey, bud. I’m about 61% through the book now, according to the Kindle App, but I was curious about something. The Amazon page says it’s roughly 206 pages of writing, but I tend to prefer word counts for stuff like that. Do you happen to know off hand how many words the book is? Just curious!

  7. As it turns out, I was on a real kick last night. I finished it off, including the sample chapters at the end. I didn’t know this was your first real hat in the ring for fiction. Bravo, my friend. It’s always a good sign when any of the imperfections of a work can be addressed by a reviewer with “Keep writing, and those’ll fade away with practice.” But you’ll hear more on that when I get the review written up! It’ll probably be posted tomorrow! Great job, and keep ’em coming.
