Obviously, it’s good to weigh risk when moving toward betterment. But I’ve seen that become deceptively toxic—I’ve seen people use risk as a justification to stagnate, to never breathe life into their much-deserved dreams.

There is a difference between risk assessment and fear. What I have seen is that most people would rather use the word ‘risk’ than ‘fear.’ It’s a safer feeling, I guess.

Of course there is the other way around too…which can result in getting oneself killed. I think there is a nice balance point…it is elusive and hard to find.
