Everything I do is ultimately for how I think I will feel in the accomplishment of it. I believe it will make me happy, or at least happier.
But if happiness is unconditional, I can be happy long before the finish line, which is how I look at the whole “It’s the journey, not the destination,” aphorism. I believe I can use the journey or the destination as an excuse to be happy, but I can just be happy regardless as well.
