If I had to describe my favorite approach to life, I would tell people to acknowledge the negative and focus on the positive.  That opens the perception to lessons learned and the best way forward.

I’ve tried the other way—acknowledge the positive and focus on the negative—but it has never worked out.  I get the occasional break but I mostly just find an increasing number of problems.
