Much has been said of the effortless “flow state” that accompanies creativity. I believe the implication behind this flow is that existence is by default creative, and all we have to do is relax and allow it.

I like this; I agree that existence is naturally creative, just look at the planets and the stars and something as tiny as a bacteria–if existence weren’t creative, none of those would, well, have been created.

I recently saw someone else say something similar: creativity isn’t something some people have and others don’t, it’s a quality from our childhood that we can cultivate if we choose not to leave it behind. It was a good reminder for me, as I often worry I have lost most of the creativness I used to enjoy.
