Echo: A Dystopian Science Fiction Novel

Da fuq?  How did I become a psychedelic mushroom?  Last thing I remember is—

Oh no!  Down the hatch I go!  GALUMPH!

Stomach acid breaks me into my base components, which filter through the blood-brain barrier and spark neural connections that only get triggered in dream or death.

Holy crap, this body IS a mushroom…a fruiting mechanism designed for ideas and concepts, configured by a mix of genes and environment, which were both configured by evolution and history, which was configured by the march of cosmic events, which was determined by the need for limited form by an unlimited consciousness so it could have a contrasting reference point from which to expand its creative benevolence….

FUUUUUUUUUCCCCKKK!!!!

Desperate for a point of singular origination, I hook into the concept for an epic sci fi novel called Echo, activating its reality distortion powers.  Magic flash.

Whoo!  I funnel down into the guy known as Kent Wayne, sci fi author and perennial He Slut.  Nice to know that all that super-galacto-mind-bending truth narrows down into my present identity, where life is simple and thoroughly enjoyable!

Pretty much all I do is write about robots, and whore myself out to horny Soccer Moms!  HEH heh heh!

😀
