It’s too bad that society discourages us from divulging our “weaknesses.”
I think we should be proud of our injuries, proud of our scars, proud of what we did to manage or overcome them, and proud of how we cope with them now.
To me, that’s not weakness. That’s the most alpha thing I can possibly think of.

I’ve never been shy about admitting my weaknesses. There’s that old saying that it’s the squeaky wheel that gets the grease. I’ve always thought that’s more about complaining, but it could also relate to getting help when you need it. There is nothing wrong in needing a little help now and then. And boy, I’ve certainly had a lot to overcome in the last couple of years (couldn’t have done it without my husband’s help). So when I tell someone that yeah a horse nearly kicked me to death but I’ve survived and thrived, I say it with pride. It was hard work. Still is some days. I do get what you wrote. Just had to add my two cents.

I try to embrace my girth and wrinkles. Alas, I’m also a victim of the past voices who constantly tell me how ‘fat’ and silly I am. Odd, huh?
