I’ve personally suffered from poor discipline and ineffective thought processes. I try and minimize those faults in myself because I’ve seen friends and family absolutely devastated by them over time.
From what I’ve seen, [being undisciplined/refusing to question yourself/address your failings] is simply not worth it in the long run.
There are several people in DC who could benefit from some your insights.

What’s funny is when you said “DC” my mind didn’t leap to the capitol, it leapt to the comic company and their recent run of bad movies, LOL!

Some people have no clue what the word ‘discipline’ even means. However, if they place the words, ‘short-sighted,’ or ‘long-view’ side by side, they may begin to understand which requires what.

Well put! Discipline is MUCH easier once there’s a clear cause behind it, and long-term planning is key to establishing a worthy cause.

Too true. If you are not striving to improve you are getting worse. Improvement takes discipline and hard work.

I find that it is much easier to see and point out other people’s ineffective thought processes, because admitting that my own thought processes are ineffective usually doesn’t dawn on me right away. Self-discipline takes work and sometimes, pain.

Oftentimes pain, in my case. I’m pretty hardheaded, haha!
