Hahaha! Nice! I appreciate all attempts to retain childlike buffoonery! 🙂

But there’s your own style there.
‘You either got or you haven’t got style’ as the song goes.

Not sure I agree with the song…can’t you learn a style? Maybe I’m reading it wrong.

From the ‘Rat Pack’ film. ‘Robin and the 7 hoods’ (Sinartra, Croby and Martin)- the inference being you get yourself style. Which, sir, you have. 😃

Thank You So Much Mr. Woebegone! Pardon my possible sacrilege, but I have yet to see that one. Sinatra does interest me however; he was a pretty colorful guy, very human, and I think good at heart when all was said and done.

It’s a good one. A take on the gangster films of the 1920s with lots of adlibs.

Nice! Sounds farcical? Or is it a respectful take?

More of a homage + a bit of spoofery
They take the Robin Hood background, place it in Chicago. Sinatra is Robin, (Robbo) with members of the pack (except for Lawford) as the ‘Merrie Men’ – Bing Crosby is fun as a good guy turn to crime (lovely scene with him dancing off clapping hands and chanting ‘I’m going to be a hood. I’m going to be a hood’)
Introduced the song ‘My kind of Town’.
Edward G Robinson in with a non-speaking cameo and Peter Falk is classic as the villain (a sort of Columbo voice). Came out in 1964 and as far as I know is available on DVD (and chunks on YouTube no doubt)

Hmmm….I’m a bit uptight about musicals. So far the only ones that have enticed me are Moulin Rouge, La La Land, and the part of Frozen where she sings that song everyone likes, but none of it after that LOL! I imagine there’s something to be said, however, for observing some of The Greats in their prime.

Yeh this is more like an extended Rat Pack routine. They were on top form.
Peter Falk provides an excellent villain
