Musings

Guilt is never EVER enough.  It is not redemption, it is not absolution, and it certainly doesn’t make up for past failures.  It can be useful if it spurs one to constructive action, but unless that is the case, it is worse than useless.

  1. I have lived with guilt most of my life. I was raised with it, served with every meal. My mum can spread it as thick as peanut butter on a slice of bread. It is a problem I am learning to grow around. Kind of. Like just now. It is cold and windy and I haven’t yet gotten mom’s paper and one of her bird feeders is on the ground. I am NOT going to wade thru the snow up to my jean clad knees to reach it and she is making me feel I need to do this. I will get the paper, but gods, it is cold out there! (it has warmed up to one degree, though!)
