News: Well, I’m all moved in; the studio is everything I could ask for. I was willing to pay more for a room, but I guess the universe likes to exceed what you need in some cases, and for me, this was one of them. Never lived by myself, and it’s actually pretty awesome.
Things are starting to come together in Volume 3. I don’t know if anyone edits the way I do—pore over the thing again and again until it reads smoothly to you—but Volume 3 is FINALLY starting to come together, where I add a little here or take a little away there. No more does my mind stop at giant roadblocks in the narrative and delete entire paragraphs and rewrite them the way they should be written. The book is taking form within my OWN mind, which gives me confidence that others will enjoy it.
I believe that one of the reasons Volume 3 is taking so long in comparison to the others is that it’s really my first complete novel; by that I mean that I’ve included all elements of Echo within it. It’s not just some dude hating life and killing a bunch of fools. In the previous novels, I felt that I used minor allusions to cover everything else on Echo instead of elaborating on them.
Okay, it’s back to work! If you are a writer, I wish you inspired drafting and insightful editing!!!
